It blows my mind, every single time, to turn on the radio, the TV, or any political sphere today and witness the sheer magnitude of willful ignorance on display. There is a profound, self-destructive blindness that seems to have infected a specific segment of the population. It isn’t just bigoted or cynical; it is deeply, tragically toxic to the people holding onto it.

We are watching a phenomenon where hate becomes a physical weight. This isn’t just metaphorical. The stress, the anger, the cynicism—it is toxic to your health. It ages you. It is no coincidence that life expectancies in certain demographics are dropping. You cannot carry that much venom in your heart and expect to live to 70. You are dying at 60, at 50, at 40, not just because of economics, but because the hate itself is a poison. And the irony? You don’t see it. You are too busy fighting imaginary wars to notice you are burning your own life savings and your own years.

For decades, Black and Brown voices have been sounding the alarm. We told you that the courts were reverting to the logic of the 1800s. We told you that the “fixers” were dismantling democracy in plain sight. But you wouldn’t listen. You were too busy drowning in the shallow end of the pool, trying to keep certain people out, failing to realize that the pool itself is drying up for everyone.

This hate is about to backfire heavily, not because of some grand conspiracy, but because demographics are shifting and the lies can no longer be sustained. You have been lying to yourselves for so long that you’ve lost the ability to navigate reality. The cost is coming due. The question is: how many more years of your life are you willing to pay for the privilege of your own blindness?
